Who we are

Our story

We are teachers and practitioners, and have experienced the benefits of this practice for the past two years.

Given multiple reasons, not at least because of the state of the world, we felt like the right time to get together and share the Daily Connect in a refreshed form with others, and make it more widely accessible.

Our intention is to cultivate a global community of practice of people practicing deep listening and connecting in the spirit of shared humanity, and we hope you’ll join us!

It all began with a simple insight: we can nurture each other.

In many areas of life, we turn to experts — therapists, coaches, teachers — for guidance and support. These relationships can be incredibly valuable.

But there is also something powerful in discovering that ordinary people, meeting as equals, can support each other simply through attention and presence.

Daily Connect creates a simple structure that allows this to happen.

The roots of the practice

The practice used in Daily Connect is inspired by the “Affect Dyad” practice, developed as part of contemplative and social neuroscience research associated with the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences.

Large-scale studies, including the ReSource Project, explored how contemplative practices can influence emotional awareness, resilience, empathy, and social connection.

Daily Connect brings this style of relational practice into everyday life in a simple, accessible format.
